WCF President/CEO Sam Bennett Announces Endorsed Candidates From Across the Country
(WASHINGTON, DC) – Emphasizing the dire need to get Congress focused on the critical issues facing the country, WCF President/CEO Siobhan “Sam” Bennett announced the endorsement of four pro-choice women candidates running for office across the nation.
“With the lack of job creation by Congress, the blatant attacks on women’s reproductive health rights, such as the “Let Women Die Bill,” and the partisan bickering which has become all too familiar; the need for more women in government has become critical. We need candidates who will bring the issues that matter most to the American people back into focus.”
“I am honored to announce the endorsement of four strong, pro-choice women leaders from a wide range of backgrounds. From Massachusetts and Florida to New Mexico and Wisconsin, these candidates represent a broad swath of exemplary female leaders from across our country, running at all levels of office. They are in their communities, working hard to forge a better future. WCF has provided these women with support in the early stages of their races – when that support is needed most – and is proud to stand with them every step of the way.”
The following candidates have earned the endorsement of the Women’s Campaign Forum:
Elizabeth Warren: candidate for U.S. Senate (MA)
Val Demings: candidate for U.S. House of Representatives (FL-08)
Michelle Lujan Grisham: candidate for U.S. House of Representatives (NM-01)
Kelda Roys: candidate for U.S. House of Representatives (WI-02)
The Women’s Campaign Forum is a national, non-partisan organization dedicated to advancing the political participation of talented women leaders who support reproductive health choices and options at all levels of office, throughout the country, and regardless of political party.
