Game Changer: Annette Taddeo

Annette Taddeo

From a very early age, Annette Taddeo demonstrated an entrepreneurial spirit and a deep passion for giving back to her community. As a child, she organized toy drives for needy children and volunteered at local orphanages. Annette got her start as an entrepreneur at age 13, selling oranges to her neighbors from her family's grove. After founding her own highly successful business, Annette is now running to bring that same sense of community and results-driven approach to leadership to the Lieutenant Governor’s office.

Lieutenant Governor – Florida – Challenger. Annette’s running mate is gubernatorial candidate, Charlie Crist.

Annette’s company, LanguageSpeak, a language services company that offers translations in over 240 languages, has been named one of the top 100 small businesses in Florida and one of the top 500 small businesses in the United States.

She previously served as Chair of the Miami-Dade Democratic Party.

In 2008, she was the Democratic nominee for Congress in Florida's 18th District, receiving more votes than any other Democrat who's run in that district.

She previously served on the WCF Board of the Directors.

  • ★ 50/50 Representation

Why should good government depend on only half of the nation’s human capital? WCF commits to 50/50 representation of women and men in elected office by 2028.

  • ★ Common Ground

Common ground just means problems get solved more collaboratively, for the good of more people. It’s the bedrock of our leadership at home and abroad.

  • ★ Viability for Election

It takes more than money to make a candidate worth electing. WCF looks for guts, street sense, situational awareness, resilience -- the full range of gifts a woman brings to the race.

  • ★ Non-Partisan

A woman’s place is in every party, every elected office, at every level. Period.
