Game Changer: Erin Molchany

While working her way through college at Duquesne University, Erin decided early on to dedicate her life to helping others. Erin is a young woman leader who has made it her life’s work to advance women in all facets of life, including politics.

Pennsylvania House of Representatives – 22nd District – Challenger. Erin is challenging State Representative Harry Readshaw, who has consistently voted for over 20 years to restrict a woman’s right to make her reproductive health choices. He played a lead role in introducing Pennsylvania’s mandatory transvaginal ultrasound bill. Due to redistricting, this is a new seat for both Erin and her opponent. Erin has been endorsed by Pittsburgh Mayor, Bill Peduto.

Erin currently represents Pennsylvania’s 22nd District in the State House.

While at the Coro Center for Civic Leadership, Erin ran the Women in Leadership Program, an 8-week leadership development class with a focus on engaging professional women in civic leadership.

Erin worked with the Executive Women’s Council to encourage local elected officials to appoint qualified women to boards and commissions.

Prior to serving in the General Assembly, Erin served as Executive Director of the Pittsburgh Urban Magnet Project where she worked to connect young and talented people to jobs in Pittsburgh.

  • ★ 50/50 Representation

Why should good government depend on only half of the nation’s human capital? WCF commits to 50/50 representation of women and men in elected office by 2028.

  • ★ Common Ground

Common ground just means problems get solved more collaboratively, for the good of more people. It’s the bedrock of our leadership at home and abroad.

  • ★ Viability for Election

It takes more than money to make a candidate worth electing. WCF looks for guts, street sense, situational awareness, resilience -- the full range of gifts a woman brings to the race.

  • ★ Non-Partisan

A woman’s place is in every party, every elected office, at every level. Period.
