"For better or worse, money is a critical factor in acquiring political power. When women lag behind in giving, it means that women's political will is not fully reflected."

I think you’ll want to know more about WCF Foundation’s online resource center and groundbreaking research about women and online political donations.

WCF Foundation’s online resource center profiles 10 Web 2.0 tools and how they are being used strategically to fundraise from women online. Here’s how to find the resource center: http://votewithyourpurse.bluestatedigital.com/.

This online resource center was developed based on WCF Foundation’s Vote With Your Purse research program about women and political giving. The first Vote With Your Purse report examined trends in women’s giving and financial power as well as women’s political fundraising results in 2006. You can access that report here: http://www.wcfonline.org/vwyp. WCF Foundation’s follow-up study, “Vote With Your Purse 2.0: Women's Online Giving, Offline Power” looks at changing patterns in women’s online political engagement and giving, and shares poll results about women’s giving and their use of traditional and newer internet tools for political purposes. You can find that report here: http://wcf.3cdn.net/fa0ca3a210d66b6641_i0m6bprb4.pdf.
