WCF, founded in 1974, is the only national, non-partisan political organization supporting women who respect reproductive health choices at all levels of office, during the earliest stages of their public life.

Blogicize for She Should Run™

Women and PoliticsBlog-i-cize (blŏg' ё-saiz') v. The act of joining the national movement to fill the political pipeline full of women by blogging about She Should Run.™

Most women don't think to run for office. This is a big problem. Why? Women only hold a fraction of the over 500,000 public office jobs in the country. Our nation's leadership is unbalanced.

If we want women to have an equal voice in our country's leadership, we must ensure that more women run for office. But they can't run unless they think about running. And She Should Run™ is here to help.

WCF will be at this year's Netroots Nation conference in Pittsburgh, PA. We want to draw on the power of the blogosphere and new media community to encourage women to run for office across the country.

She Should Run™ is a unique and cutting-edge program that:

1. Provides an online tool for people to ask qualified and talented women leaders they know to run for office.

2. Provides those women with the tools, resources, and support they need to make an informed decision about running for office.

We challenge you to Blogicize about She Should Run™ and why women are essential to changing the path of our country for the better before, during, or after Netroots Nation, August 13-16.

Help us reach our goal of asking 25,000 women to run for office.

The more that blog, the more women will be asked to run for office, and the more progress we make toward shaping the next wave of potential women candidates.

How many She Should Run asks to do you hope to inspire with your blog? Tell us and sign up to Blogicize below.
