Angela Zimmann U.S. House of Representatives (OH-05) Angela Zimmann is running for Congress in Ohio's 5th District. She was the first person from her mother's side of the family to go to college. Zimmann earned her Bachlor of Science in Industrial Engineering from the University of Toledo and she graduated cum laude. Zimmann also holds a Ph.D. in Rhetoric and Composition from Bowling Green State University and a Masters of Divinity from Lutheran Theological Seminary at Gettysburg. She is a full-time faculty member in the General Studies Writing Program at Bowling Green State University and works as an ordained ELCA pastor, starting her eighth year in her current call (Trinity Lutheran in Riga, Michigan). Zimmann is currently serving her second term on the Educational Services Board of Lucas County and has served as President of the Northwest Region of the Ohio School Board Association.
