Joann Ginal
State Assembly (CO-52)

Joann Ginal is running for State Representative in Colorado’s 52nd District. Ginal currently serves on the Fort Collins Human Relations Commission and on the Commission of the Status of Women. Ginal has worked in the biological and medical fields for more than 20 years as a scientist with a focus in pharmacology. She is the first LGBT candidate to run for office in the 52nd district and is the fourth openly LGBT candidate running in the legislature in 2012. Ginal received a B.S. in Biology from the University of New Hampshire, a Master’s in Zoology from Iowa State University, and a Ph.D in Reproductive Endocrinology from Colorado State University.
