Women's Campaign Forum

WCF, founded in 1974, is the only national, non-partisan political organization supporting women who respect reproductive health choices at all levels of office, during the earliest stages of their public life.

How We Work

WCF wants to build the pipeline of talented women leaders who support reproductive health choices of all parties. We do this by:

  • Recruiting women who have never before run for office
  • Providing resources and referrals for these first-time candidates
  • Endorsing women up and down the ballot
  • Financially supporting endorsed candidates
  • Engaging our members with our endorsed candidates and their campaigns
  • Bundling our members' contributions to endorsed federal candidates

This work is carried out through:

  • Recruitment: She Should Run™, our national online recruitment effort, builds the pipeline of new pro-choice women who should run for office.
  • Candidate Resources: Our printed and online resources and referrals are targeted at first-time candidates and pro-choice women who have not yet made the decision to serve.
  • Endorsements: Our endorsement process identifies and supports talented women candidates and promotes them to our membership.
  • Member Engagement: Our members are invited to learn more, to take action, to mobilize others and to contribute their time, money and talent in order to ensure that pro-choice women candidates succeed.
We also work toward our mission through our sister organization, WCF Foundation, which provides research on topics such as women and political giving in the Vote With Your Purse report, and support for women's appointments through Appoint Her.
