2008 Election Results

Together, we did it. The 2008 elections were a banner year for pro-choice women running for office.
On a historical November 4th, 67 WCF endorsed candidates were elected to public office, including the first woman Governor to the state of North Carolina, and 14 victories in state and local races as diverse as State Treasurer to State House. With the elections of Women's Campaign Forum stars Kay Hagan (NC) and Jeanne Shaheen (NH), we reached an all-time high of 17 women in the U.S. Senate. Unlike the incumbents they unseated, these are women proud to fight for our right to choose.
