Our Mission
Women's Campaign Forum (WCF) is a nonpartisan, pro-choice, national membership organization dedicated to ensuring that women become leaders in public life. WCF and our affiliated Political Action Committee recruit, launch and support pro-choice women for elected office.
While women have made significant strides public life, they remain dramatically under-represented in elected office - 17% of the U.S. Congress and 24% of state legislators nationwide. This state of the union results in policies that lack women's unique voice and decisions that restrict our fundamental reproductive freedoms.
How We Are Different
- We are nonpartisan - the only group working on pro-choice women's leadership with a nonpartisan approach.
- We endorse (and give) at all levels of political office - from Town Clerk to US Senate to President!
- We are building a pipeline of pro-choice women candidates through our national
online recruitment program, She Should Run™.
- We focus on getting women started, serving as venture supporters for candidates to help them build infrastructure and credibility.
- We invest in women candidates as a long-term strategy, selectively supporting long-shot candidates if we believe their race builds their potential to win.
- We conduct forward-looking research through WCF Foundation to answer important questions about women's ambition, giving, and role in appointed office.
- We are the first part of a chain that involves partners like EMILY's List, WISH List, NARAL Pro-Choice America, Planned Parenthood and others.
