Women's Campaign Forum

Women's Campaign Forum is a non-partisan, national organization dedicated to advancing the political participation and leadership of pro-choice women.

Overview

Pro-Choice Women...Empowered and In Power
WCF, founded in 1974, is a non-partisan national network dedicated to achieving parity for women in public office. As political venture capitalists, we work to advance women leaders at all levels of political participation and empower individuals to stand up for issues of critical importance to the health of the nation, including reproductive health.

The WCF Difference

  • We offer venture support to women in the earliest days of their political campaigns and careers
  • We focus on the woman, not only the race
  • We work closely with women leaders at all stages of their political lives to help them cultivate their expertise and enrich their experience
  • Our support comes early when the need for support is greatest
  • We're nimble and approachable
  • We give help where and when it's needed

  • We provide practical tools for political engagement through genuine accessibility and personal touch

While women have made significant strides in all walks of public life, they remain dramatically under-represented. Women constitute only 17% of the U.S. Congress and 25% of elected policy-makers nationwide. This disparity results in policies that lack women's unique voice and decisions that restrict our fundamental reproductive freedoms. WCF's unique, cutting-edge programs are designed to advance the political participation and leadership of pro-choice women of all parties by providing the necessary encouragement, education and resources.

Our Programs

She Should Run - Building the pipelines of women running for office. She Should Run provides the opportunity for talented pro-choice women to be nominated to run for public office. We then give them the encouragement, information and connections they need.

Candidate Endorsements - WCF endorses qualified pro-choice women candidates running for all levels of office, all across the country. WCF supports our endorsed candidates in a variety of ways, including promotion on our website, in our newsletters, and in other communication to our members.

Fellowship Program - Providing young women and men the opportunity to gain firsthand experience within a national political organization.

Next Generation - Offers an opportunity for young women students and professionals between the ages of 21-35 to attend WCF events through donor sponsorship.

WCF endorses pro-choice women up and down the ballot, making them eligible for financial support from both our affiliated political action committee (WCF PAC) and the Social Change program. WCF actively promotes endorsed candidates to our members, encouraging them to donate their time and money to support these candidates.

At WCF, we work every day to ensure that pro-choice women are empowered...and in power.
