Overview
The WCF Difference
- We are nonpartisan
- We serve a broad audience of voters, activists, policy makers, donors and candidates
- We engineer new, cutting-edge, Web-based programs to tackle age-old challenges facing women candidates
- We offer venture support to women in the earliest days of their political campaigns and careers
While women have made significant strides in all walks of
public life, they remain dramatically under-represented. Women constitute only
16 percent of the U.S. Congress and 25 percent of elected policy-makers
nationwide. This state of the union results in policies that lack women's
unique voice and decisions that restrict our fundamental reproductive freedoms. WCF's unique, cutting-edge programs are designed to advance the political
participation and leadership of pro-choice women of all parties by providing
the necessary encouragement, education and resources.
Our Programs
- She Should Run - Our national online recruitment effort builds the pipeline of new pro-choice women who should run for office
- Gear Up - Our leadership development program helps current and future women candidates build skills for success
- Social Change - Our political-giving initiative mobilizes bundled contributions for WCF-endorsed federal candidates
WCF endorses pro-choice women up and down the ballot, making them eligible for financial
support from both our affiliated political action committee (WCF PAC) and the
Social Change program. WCF actively promotes endorsed candidates to our members, encouraging them to donate their time and money to support these candidates.
At WCF, we work every day to ensure that pro-choice women are empowered...and in power.
Women's Campaign Forum is a 501(c)(4) membership organization with an affiliated PAC and sister 501(c)(3) Foundation.
