Parties of Your Choice NYC - 2014: Why Now?

Why Now?

This year feels different, doesn’t it? Before 2014 is over, we will know if a certain so-and-so will be running for President, if the 36 gubernatorial elections up for grabs in November will increase the number of women Governors from a dismal 5, and if the record number of women in the House and Senate is here to stay.

This is a moment like no other we have seen in WCF’s 40 year history. This is the opportunity for us to gather and build momentum that will usher in a new era for women in politics. Will you seize that opportunity?

  • ★ 50% Representation

Why should good government depend on only half of the nation’s human capital? WCF commits to 50% representation of women in elected office by 2028.

  • ★ Common Ground

Common ground just means problems get solved more collaboratively, for the good of more people. It’s the bedrock of our leadership at home and abroad.

  • ★ Viability for Election

It takes more than money to make a candidate worth electing. WCF looks for guts, street sense, situational awareness, resilience -- the full range of gifts a woman brings to the race.

  • ★ Non-Partisan

A woman’s place is in every party, every elected office, at every level. Period.
